A woman from Arima is anticipated to face charges of forgery and presenting a falsified document to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) when she tried to join the force seven years ago. The woman applied to the TTPS in 2018 and submitted several documents, including her Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) certificates. However, discrepancies in the certificate were noticed during a recent review of applicants. This led to an investigation by the Fraud Squad. The woman was arrested at the Police Training Academy in St James. The investigators sought confirmation from the Ministry of Education to determine if the documents were legitimate or falsified. The woman is due to appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate.
