„Wizz Air“ lėktuve – nerimą keliantis incidentas: pilotas prarado sąmonę

On 9 October at approximately 18:00, a Wizz Air Airbus A321 operating flight W6 Gdansk from Gothenburg, Sweden, experienced a serious incident. About 80 km from Gdansk Airport, the second pilot reported feeling unwell, describing stomach discomfort, and requested permission to use the lavatory before take‑off. After exiting the cockpit, the pilot lost consciousness. Cabin crew members assisted him, and the flight continued without any changes to its schedule. During the flight, the pilot declared a MAYDAY signal. A cabin crew member temporarily assumed control of the aircraft. The approach to Gdansk and the landing proceeded without incident. After touchdown, the second pilot was handed over to emergency medical personnel for a full health assessment. The Polish Civil Aviation Authority (PKBWL) officially classified the event as a “serious incident.” The incident is not the first of its kind involving Wizz Air. In August 2024, a second pilot on a flight from Warsaw to Larnaka forced the aircraft to return to Warsaw‑Schonefeld Airport, resulting in an unscheduled landing. That flight carried 225 passengers, none of whom were injured.
