A recently widowed mother of five in Sangre Grande is urgently seeking assistance as she faces the possibility of being left without a home in a matter of days.
Tricia Joseph recently lost her husband, who was the family’s main breadwinner. She is now caring for their five children — four boys and one girl — while reportedly battling serious health complications, including heart problems and kidney failure, which have left her unable to work.
The family is currently renting a home but has fallen two months behind on rent following the death of Joseph’s husband.
The situation has now become critical, with the landlord reportedly giving the mother six days to vacate the property. One day has already passed, leaving Joseph and her five children with approximately five days to secure somewhere else to stay.
The family’s most urgent needs are safe accommodation and food assistance as Joseph attempts to cope with the loss of her husband, her health challenges and the responsibility of caring for five children.
An appeal is being made to individuals, businesses, charitable organisations and relevant agencies that may be able to assist the family with temporary or longer-term accommodation, food supplies or other essential support.
Anyone willing and able to assist Tricia Joseph and her children can contact her directly by calling or WhatsApping +1 (868) 488-4119.
With only days reportedly remaining before the family must leave their current home, any assistance that can help provide a safe place for Joseph and her children would be greatly appreciated.
