Weekend Violence Strikes Moruga, Tobago, and San Juan

The weekend turned violent in Moruga, Tobago, and San Juan, with police investigating three separate incidents of shootings and stabbings. In Moruga, around early Sunday morning, two relatives, a 20-year-old and a 14-year-old, were shot at a house party following a roadside brawl. They were subsequently transported to San Fernando General Hospital for further care. Meanwhile, in Crown Point, a security guard was stabbed after an altercation over an alcoholic beverage at Trinidad and Tobago Chicken Hut. The attacker was later arrested by the police. Lastly, in San Juan, two 25-year-old men were injured in a gun attack on Friday night. Both victims are now in stable condition at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. Police are continuing investigations into all three incidents.
