Venezuela has delivered 564 new homes to families affected by two recent earthquakes, authorities said on Thursday. The homes were distributed in Fuerte Tiuna and other states across the country as part of a broader housing recovery effort. According to a statement from Venezuelan officials, a total of 3,500 families have either returned to their pre‑earthquake residences or received new housing. The distribution includes the 564 new residential units mentioned above, as well as 80 temporary single‑family dwellings that have been made available for people who remain in camps. The government said the temporary units are intended to provide secure accommodation while the full recovery process continues. Officials noted that the exact dates of the earthquakes, the locations of all temporary units, and the schedule for completing remaining deliveries were not specified in the announcement. “We are continuing our work because there are still families waiting and we have a commitment to fulfill,” the statement read.
