Viral Luv or Pop Dating App Launches In Trinidad and Tobago

Fans of the hit online dating series Pop the Balloon or Find Love now have a new way to connect, as the show’s official dating platform, Luv or Pop, has officially expanded to Trinidad and Tobago.

The announcement forms part of the app’s latest international rollout, which also includes countries such as Nigeria, Congo, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. The expansion opens the platform to thousands of new users across Africa and the Caribbean, giving singles in Trinidad and Tobago access to a growing global dating community.

Luv or Pop was created by husband-and-wife duo Bolia “BM” Matundu and Arlette Amuli, the creators of the viral YouTube dating show Pop the Balloon or Find Love. The series has attracted more than 1.5 million subscribers and millions of views by bringing together singles for honest, unscripted conversations where participants either “pop the balloon” to reject a potential match or keep it inflated if they are interested.

Rather than relying on endless swiping, the app follows the same philosophy as the show by encouraging intentional dating. Users “pop” profiles they are not interested in and collect balloons for people they would like to get to know. One of its standout features, known as Match Lock, pauses conversations with everyone else once two people agree to focus on each other, encouraging users to build a genuine connection before moving on.

Beyond dating, the platform also serves as a community for fans of the show. Members can access exclusive content, engage with past contestants, join discussions, and participate in creator-led events designed to extend the experience beyond the screen. Verified profiles and moderation tools are also included as part of the platform’s safety features.

The arrival of Luv or Pop gives singles in Trinidad and Tobago another option in the growing online dating space, while connecting local users with a wider international community inspired by one of the internet’s most recognizable dating shows.

Whether the platform will become the next big dating app in Trinidad and Tobago remains to be seen, but with the popularity of Pop the Balloon or Find Love continuing to grow worldwide, its expansion into the Caribbean is likely to attract plenty of attention.
