A shocking incident occurred on Monday evening involving a 55-year-old British psychiatrist who was violently robbed near the Woodbrook Cemetery in St. James. The victim, who is a UK citizen residing in the area, was walking along Mucurapo Road at around 6:10 p.m. when he was ambushed by two men. The assailants attacked him, inflicting physical injuries before making off with several of his personal belongings. Among the items stolen were an iPhone 7, a gold chain, a gold bracelet, and a side bag containing his UK driver’s permit, ID card, €80 in cash, and TT$150. After the robbery, the suspects escaped in the back seat of a silver motor vehicle that drove east along Mucurapo Road. Investigations are ongoing, led by PC Phipps of the St. James Police.
