In a recent horrifying event, a family in Palmiste fell victim to a violent home invasion, leaving them injured and traumatized. The incident occurred in the early morning, around 3:15 a.m. as the family was preparing for work. The invasion was initiated by a loud bang from a bedroom, followed by the sight of a shadow through the front window. Moments later, several armed men, clad in dark clothing, forced entry into the home. Brandishing cutlasses and firearms, the intruders held the family hostage and ransacked the house, in search of cash. They managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money and a black Toyota Altis. The victims, though sustained minor injuries, received treatment from paramedics on site. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned near a local landmark, WASA Pump Well #10. The police are actively investigating the incident.
