Violent Cutlass Altercation Leaves Two Men Seriously Injured in Princes Town

A violent altercation involving cutlasses seriously injured two men, identified as Derick Williams and Jerimiah Floyd, in the Princes Town district on the morning of May 17, 2026. The incident, which took place around 10:20 a.m. at Frederick Settlement, was witnessed by a resident of Naggie 3rd Branch from her home.

As the grim scene unfolded, one of the combatants sought refuge on her property, closely followed by his opponent. The homeowner promptly raised an alarm and demanded both men vacate her premises. Ignoring her, one of the men collapsed on the roadway, while the other continued his assault before fleeing the scene.

Emergency Health Services and police were quick to respond to the distress call. The injured man found on the roadway was rushed to Princes Town Health Centre. Both men were later transferred to San Fernando General Hospital given the severity of their injuries.

As of the latest reports, Williams and Floyd remain in the hospital in serious but stable condition. The investigation into the violent incident continues.
