Four NATO warships – two German, one Italian and one Spanish – arrived at the port of Vlore on 2 November as part of a joint military exercise with the Albanian Naval Force. The vessels will remain in the Vlore Bay until 6 November. During the visit, the ships will conduct port activities on 3 and 4 November. On 5 and 6 November they will participate in combined sea and air maneuvers with the Albanian Navy’s surface vessels. The exercise aims to enhance cooperation and interoperability among the naval forces of the allied countries, focusing on coordinated actions at sea and in the air, communication between crews, and the development of joint operational scenarios. The training is intended to improve readiness and prepare personnel for coordinated engagements under NATO missions. This marks the second time within a month that NATO warships have arrived in Vlore Bay for joint exercises with the Albanian fleet, underscoring the area’s growing importance for allied naval cooperation.
