The death toll from the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 has risen to 5,208, according to the latest official report. National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez released the updated figures, which also include 16,780 injured and 6,462 rescued.
Authorities have attended to 128,324 families affected by the disaster. The report underscores the scale of the humanitarian crisis as rescue and recovery efforts continue.
