Vendor Brutally Attacked With Cutlasses Over Dog Dispute in Ste Madeleine

In a shocking incident, a 39-year-old vendor, Kennedy Brown, was brutally attacked with cutlasses near Stanleyville junction in Ste Madeleine. The event took place around 8:30 p.m. on April 23, 2026, when Brown was returning home and was initially attacked by a dog. Attempts to resolve the issue with the dog’s owner, identified only as ‘Daniel’, and his father ‘Chiney’, quickly spiraled into a heated argument.

The disagreement took a violent turn when both Daniel and Chiney allegedly began assaulting Brown with cutlasses, inflicting multiple wounds. Among his injuries, Brown suffered a fractured skull, as later confirmed by doctors at the San Fernando General Hospital.

Emergency Health Services were quick to respond to the incident, ensuring Brown was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is reported as serious.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a thorough search for the suspects, Daniel and Chiney, who have since evaded capture. The investigation into this horrifying event continues.
