Vízitaxival lehet utazni az úszó- és vitorlásversenyekre

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games will feature a new water‑taxi service to help athletes and spectators travel between the Long Beach and San Pedro venues. The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) has approved a project that will connect the two coastal sites, and the initiative has received a $1 million grant to support its development. The proposed water‑taxi system is intended to reduce congestion on the roads that currently carry the bulk of Olympic traffic. While no water‑taxi service currently operates between Long Beach and San Pedro, three companies have expressed interest in running the route once the project is completed. Long Beach will host 11 Olympic sports, including water polo, swimming and beach volleyball, as well as seven Paralympic events. San Pedro will be the venue for the sailing competitions. The new water‑taxi service is expected to provide a faster, more environmentally friendly alternative for moving between these two key locations.
