Former Prime Minister Andrej Babis, leader of the ANO movement, has again questioned the independence of the Czech judiciary. In a video message addressed to his supporters on Sunday, Babis reiterated his claim that it is possible for individuals to be imprisoned based on external orders.
This is not the first time Babis has made such allegations regarding the judicial system. His recent comments follow a formal request issued by the Judges Union on Friday, which called on the former prime minister to provide evidence for his previous assertions that judges make decisions without sufficient proof.
