Mughe opened the scoring for the visitors in the 46th minute following a quick counter-attack. Six minutes later, Luther Singh, who previously played for clubs including Sporting de Braga, Desportivo de Chaves, Moreirense, and Pacos de Ferreira, capitalized on a defensive error by Pafos player Bruno to secure the second goal.
The match featured a significant Portuguese presence, with Pafos fielding players such as David Luiz, Guga, Domingos Quina, and Afonso Patrao. The AEL Limassol squad included Sergio Conceicao, Jair Tavares, and Luther Singh.

AEK Larnaca secured their position after a 2-1 away victory against Omonia, with goals from Andereggen in the 23rd minute and Bajic in the 84th minute, while Tierney scored for Omonia in the 41st minute.
