Víctor Martínez Bravo, a community leader and member of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), formally endorsed Gonzalo Castillo’s presidential campaign and announced his intention to seek the mayoralty of Las Galeras. During Castillo’s visit to the district, Martínez Bravo presided over a gathering that brought together local youth, political figures and community leaders. The meeting was part of Castillo’s broader political agenda in the province of Samaná. With this announcement, Martínez Bravo marks the first time he is running for an elected office. He plans to tour the various communities within Las Galeras and build the political structures necessary to support his mayoral bid under the PLD banner.
