The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland has issued an urgent recall of several popular Tower air fryer models due to serious safety risks. The affected models, which include the Tower T17023, T17061BLK, T17067, T17087, and T17129L, have been identified as having faulty components that may cause overheating and pose a fire hazard. Although no injuries have been reported in Ireland, similar units have been linked to burning incidents in the UK. Consumers are advised to stop using these air fryers immediately and unplug them. They should check the model number located on the bottom label of the unit. If their model matches any of those listed, they should contact Tower Housewares for a return, refund, or replacement. The affected air fryers are sold at various retailers including Argos, Tesco, and Lidl, as well as online through Amazon and the Tower website.
