Uber宣布今已向運輸署遞交網約車平台牌照申請

Uber announced on 29 October 2026 that it has formally submitted its application for a ride‑hailing platform licence to the Hong Kong Transport Department. The company said it welcomes and supports the government’s new regulatory framework for ride‑hailing services, which it views as an important milestone for the development of personalised point‑to‑point transport in the city. In a statement, Uber said it had completed all the forms and supporting documents required by the Transport Department’s invitation to apply. The company expressed confidence that its experience operating globally and its established relationships in Hong Kong will enable it to work closely with authorities to meet the regulatory requirements. Zhong Zhiting, general manager for Uber in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, said: “We will continue to maintain open communication with the government and fully cooperate throughout the licence application process. We look forward to bringing convenient and reliable travel options to Hong Kong under the new framework.” He added that Uber has expanded its dedicated support team to provide training and written‑exam preparation for driver partners, helping them transition smoothly to the new regulatory environment.
