U.S Restricts Grenada Finance Minister’s Visa

In a move targeting Caribbean government leaders over the Cuban medical brigade issue, Washington has restricted the visa of Grenada’s Finance Minister, Dennis Cornwall, marking him as the first government official in Grenada to be impacted. All three U.S visas (B1, B2 and A1) held by Cornwall have been revoked by the U.S government under President Donald Trump. Additionally, the visa of Ophelia Cornwall, the minister’s estranged wife, has also been withdrawn. Ophelia Cornwall, who is now separated from Minister Cornwall, is reportedly associated with former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell of the opposition New National Party.
