A Texas woman has filed a lawsuit against a U.S. marine, Christopher Cooprider, accusing him of spiking her drink with abortion pills, leading to the loss of their unborn child. According to the lawsuit, the 34-year-old Cooprider allegedly dissolved at least 10 misoprostol pills into a hot chocolate he prepared for Leona Davis. The lawsuit also refers to text messages exchanged between the two in the weeks before the incident, where Davis rejected Cooprider’s multiple pleas for an abortion. Cooprider has yet to make a statement regarding the accusations.
