One of the arrested is a 41-year-old man, charged for possession of cocaine for trafficking purposes, with officers seizing 20.7 grams of cocaine during the arrest. The second individual, a 19-year-old Venezuelan national, was apprehended as a prohibited immigrant, suspected to have escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre earlier in the year. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service pledges to maintain its operational activity to disrupt criminal activity and ensure citizen safety.
