On 5 August, a police officer in central Helsingborg attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Drottninggatan. The officer fired four shots at the car, which was traveling at a high speed. Inside the vehicle were a driver in his twenties and two children. According to the police report, two of the shots were deemed defensive, while the other two were considered unjustified. Despite this, the special prosecutor decided to close the investigation, citing the difficulty the officer had in controlling the situation. The case has been reported by local media, but no further legal action has been taken against the officer.
