TTRS Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Chaguanas

A driver working with TTRS was the victim of a robbery on Monday night in Chaguanas. The incident unfolded around 7:32 p.m. after the driver picked up three men who were posing as passengers. The vehicle involved was a blue Nissan Note, bearing the registration PEE 347.

The situation took a dangerous turn when the men directed the driver to Bynoe Trace Extension, a dead-end street. There, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm, threatening the driver and announcing a robbery. In fear for his life, the driver complied with the demands of the suspects.

After the vehicle was taken, the victim was dropped off in the Longdenville area, while the robbers fled in the stolen car. Thankfully, the driver was not physically harmed during the ordeal.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in apprehending the suspects. Those with information are encouraged to contact law enforcement or send an anonymous tip via WhatsApp to 1 868 294 4081.

As the investigation continues, it highlights the ongoing concerns regarding safety for drivers in the area, especially those operating ride services.
