The Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE) announced on Tuesday that it has cancelled the hearing scheduled for October 27, 2026, because the parties involved in the case failed to appear. The decision was made by Magistrate Lourdes Teresa Salazar, acting as substitute for the Tribunal’s president, Magistrate Ygnacio Pascual Camacho Hidalgo. She was joined by the Tribunal’s permanent judges Pedro Pablo Yermenos Forastieri, Fernando Fernández Cruz, Rafaelina Peralta Arias and Lenis Rosángela García Guzmán. The case, file number TSE‑01‑0036‑2026, concerns a reclamation appeal filed by Francisco Isaías Cabrera Romero against the National Electoral Commission of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party. The appeal was brought in response to a decision by the Constitutional Court (TC) in Sentencia TC/0525/2026, issued on July 10, 2026.
