A social media post featuring U.S. President Donald Trump in a Christ-like scene has been taken down following intense backlash online. The image, shared on Sunday night, depicted Trump in a robe surrounded by glowing religious imagery as he placed a hand on a bedridden man, which quickly attracted attention and criticism across multiple platforms.
The reaction was swift, with many users questioning the appropriateness of the portrayal. Critics, including some of Trump’s own supporters, expressed discomfort with the religious connotations of the imagery, leading to increased scrutiny and calls for its removal.
When asked about the controversial image, Trump told reporters that he viewed it as representing him ‘as a doctor.’ He suggested that the imagery was connected to humanitarian efforts, similar to the work of the Red Cross, and dismissed claims that it carried any religious symbolism.
Despite his defense, the post faced mounting pressure and was ultimately removed from his account. As of now, the White House has not issued an official statement regarding the deletion, leaving some questions unanswered about the decision and its implications for Trump’s public image.
