**Tru‑Juice FC Prepares for Jamaica Premier League Debut**

Ewarton, St. Catherine – Tru‑Juice FC, a newly promoted club, is gearing up for its first appearance in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) on August 23. The team will open the season against Mount Pleasant Football Academy, a club known for its high spending.

Head coach Damion Gordon, who has previously managed Tivoli Gardens and Waterhouse, expressed confidence that the club will be a competitive presence in the top flight. “The league comes with different challenges, and I have been in the league for so long, so I am aware of what comes and what is needed,” Gordon said. He added that preparation is key and that the squad is focused on “good results, good games, good performances, and to play an attractive brand of football.”

The club’s strategy includes a possession‑based style with quick transitions. Gordon emphasized a blend of experience and youth, noting that the team already has several seasoned players. “We are looking to infuse those experienced players with the younger ones at the club, and I believe it will start with building a strong spine in the team,” he said.

Recent signings include former Portmore United striker Jaheim McGregor, Tyrone Mullings from Racing United, and Marlon Martin of Arnett Gardens. Gordon said the club continues to look for additional quality pieces to strengthen the squad.

The first match against Mount Pleasant is expected to be a formidable test. Gordon urged supporters to attend and support the team during this new chapter. “We are hoping for a good start but, for us to have a good start, we have to have a good preparation,” he said. “If we prepare well for what we have been doing so far, we should be alright.”
