Tropical Storm Watch in Effect, Heavy Showers Expected

The weather forecast for Saturday, 16th of August 2025, indicates a fairly moderate day with periods of cloudiness and light showers for Trinidad, Tobago, and the Windward Islands. However, there is a medium to high chance (60% – 70%) of isolated heavier showers or thunderstorms, particularly in Trinidad, during the late morning to afternoon. Despite possible lingering showers, the night is expected to remain mostly settled. Caution is advised as gusty winds and street or flash flooding could occur during heavier showers or thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the Leeward Islands are expected to be cloudy to overcast with heavy showers, gusty winds, and thunderstorms. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for the Northern Leewards. Temperatures are expected to range between 23.8°C to 32°C in Piarco and 26.8°C to 31°C in Crown Point. Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate, with waves measuring 1.0m-1.5m in open waters and less than 1.0m in sheltered areas, although up to 4.0m waves are expected in the Leewards.
