**Trinidad and Tobago – Queen’s Park Oval Stand Renamed to Honor Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard**

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago – September 1, 2026 – The Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) announced the renaming of a stand at the historic Queen’s Park Oval. The former “Trini Posse” stand will now be known as the **Bravo, Pollard & Narine Stand**, recognizing three of the nation’s most prominent cricketers: Dwayne “DJ” Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine.

The unveiling ceremony took place on August 31, coinciding with Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Day. In a press release, QPCC said the dedication “represents a lasting tribute to three home‑grown players whose achievements have helped shape the country’s extraordinary legacy in international and franchise cricket.”

The renamed stand joins other facilities at the venue that bear the names of cricket legends, including the Brian Lara Pavilion, Deryck Murray Players’ Gallery, Jeffrey Stollmeyer Stand, Learie Constantine Stand, Gerry Gomez Media Centre and Cyril L Duprey Stand.

**Career highlights of the honorees**

* **Kieron Pollard** – The most‑capped player in Twenty‑20 (T20) cricket history, with more than 700 matches, over 14,000 runs and 330 wickets.
* **Dwayne Bravo** – Retired all‑rounder who finished his career with 631 T20 wickets, a record that was the highest in men’s T20 cricket at the time of his retirement, and nearly 7,000 runs.
* **Sunil Narine** – The second bowler ever to reach 650 wickets in T20 cricket and the leading wicket‑taker in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) history.

All three have competed in major franchise competitions worldwide, including the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the CPL, and have amassed numerous team titles and individual awards.

At the time of the ceremony, the three players were present in Trinidad and Tobago for the Trinbago Knight Riders’ 2026 CPL campaign. Pollard and Narine were listed as active players for the franchise, while Bravo was slated to serve in a coaching role.

QPCC stated that the naming of the stand acknowledges not only the statistical achievements of Bravo, Pollard and Narine, but also their “journey from Trinidad & Tobago to the very highest levels of world cricket,” which has inspired younger athletes in the region.

The Bravo, Pollard & Narine Stand will remain a permanent feature of Queen’s Park Oval, symbolising the contributions of the three cricketers to the development of T20 cricket and to the international reputation of Trinidad and Tobago.
