Trinidad Police Recover Millions in Stolen Copper Cables; One Arrested in Major Operation

One person has been arrested after police recovered millions of dollars in suspected stolen Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) copper cables and cash during an operation in San Juan.

According to information provided on the operation, the discovery was made on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Saroop Lane, El Socorro.

Police reportedly carried out an intelligence-led operation in the area, which resulted in the arrest of one person and the recovery of a large quantity of copper cables suspected to have been stolen from TSTT.

Cash was also recovered during the exercise.
