Police in Trinidad and Tobago made an arrest and seized drugs during a recent anti-crime operation in the West End Police District. The operation, which took place late Friday night into early Saturday morning, involved officers from several units, including the West End Criminal Investigations Department and the Western Divisional Task Force.
Officers discovered approximately 265 grams of cannabis packaged in plastic bags hidden inside a barrel at the Diego Martin Bus Terminal. An investigation into the discovery is underway.
Separately, a 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in February. The man is from Diego Martin.
The operation was led by Senior Superintendent Williams and Inspector Grant, and coordinated by Acting Sergeant Huggins. Police say these types of operations are part of their ongoing efforts to fight crime and keep the public safe.
