Reportedly, the men had embarked on a journey to Venezuela with an illicit objective to collect narcotics and firearms, intending to smuggle them back to Trinidad. In the course of the arrest, Venezuelan authorities managed to seize a substantial amount of fuel, specifically 3,120 liters. The seized fuel is believed to be connected to drug trafficking logistics criminal groups, indicating a link to larger, organized crime networks.
