Trinidad and Tobago Extend Old Coat of Arms Usage

The Trinidad and Tobago government has officially extended the use of the country’s previous Coat of Arms until 2nd January 2031. This decision, outlined in Legal Notice No. 468, allows the continued usage of the former emblem beyond the originally planned deadline of 1st January 2026. The change comes after legislative adjustments made to introduce a new Coat of Arms. The Minister has the authority to prescribe a later date for using the old emblem if deemed necessary. This decision ensures the emblem’s continued presence on official documents, uniforms, signs, and other state materials. The extension doesn’t cancel the introduction of a new Coat of Arms but gives extra time for a smooth transition, ensuring legal clarity around the use of national emblems.
