The Ministry of Education in Trinidad and Tobago has announced the commencement of payments under the 2026 School Supplies and Book Grant Initiative. This follows the completion of the final verification checks for applicants, marking the beginning of the disbursement phase from September 2, 2026.
Applicants who have been successful in securing the grant will receive an email confirming their approval. For those who provided banking information, further communication will be sent once their funds are deposited into their bank accounts. Meanwhile, those who opted for cheque payments will receive instructions via email on where to collect their cheques.
Cheque collections are organized at designated Education District Offices across Trinidad and Tobago, including Tobago. Collection hours are set from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., ensuring a structured process for all beneficiaries.
The ministry has emphasized the importance for applicants to monitor the email address used during the application process for all official correspondence. This ensures they receive timely updates regarding their grant status.
The designated collection locations include key offices in Port of Spain, Sangre Grande, Rio Claro, Tunapuna, and San Fernando, among others. This comprehensive coverage aims to facilitate easy access for beneficiaries throughout the nation.
