Traveler Slams Trinidad Airport as ‘Most Disappointing’, Praises Antigua’s ‘World Boss’

A traveler’s blunt review of two Caribbean airports is drawing attention after she declared Trinidad’s airport one of the most disappointing she has ever seen, while heaping praise on Antigua’s facility and its Prime Minister.

In a Facebook Reel, Melina Roopnarain said, “Trinidad Airport is one of the most disappointing airports I have ever seen,” contrasting it with Antigua Airport, which she called beautiful. She credited the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, whom she referred to as the “World Boss,” for investing in the airport’s appearance. “He’s truly put in some money to make things look attractive,” she said, while insisting her comments were constructive criticism, not bashing.

Roopnarain also shared a past travel ordeal in St. Kitts, where she was delayed for seven hours and complained about having to spend her own money on food because only crackers were provided. She thanked Leah for bringing snacks and gave a shout-out to LIAT for the snacks, recalling the experience with a mix of frustration and humor.

The video’s caption summed up her stance: “Trinidad Airport has Nothing on Antigua Airport. Big up the World Boss.” Roopnarain said she loves Antigua and considers it “my place.” The post has sparked discussion among Caribbean travelers who often compare regional infrastructure and services.
