The Tobago House of Assembly’s Division of Food Security has revealed an increase in the cost of eggs at Government Farms. From March 2, 2026, the price will rise from $7.00 to $15.00 per dozen. The decision was influenced by increased production costs, including feed and other key farm inputs, that have been unchanged since 2005. The adjustment aims to align prices with current market conditions responsibly. The Division remains committed to supporting local food production, ensuring fair access, and promoting long-term sustainability in the agricultural sector.
