The Norwegian District Court rejected a request to lift the arrest of the Russian vessel Professor Moltsjanov in Svalbard. The ship has been detained in the Russian settlement of Barentsburg since September. The company that operates in Barentsburg and the former mining town of Pyramiden is affected by the arrest because the vessel had been used to transport goods to Svalbard. The decision was reported by NRK.
