Thieves Target Couva Lotto Booth, $16,651 Stolen Overnight

A recent break-in at the Couva Lotto Booth in Ibis Court, Point Lisas, Couva, has raised concerns in the community. The incident, which took place on the night of August 16th, 2025, resulted in the theft of a significant sum of money. The owner, a 36-year-old woman, reportedly secured her business around 6:30 p.m. by locking all doors and windows. The following morning, she discovered that her establishment had been compromised. A shattered northern glass door and a removed ceiling tile revealed the path the burglars used to access the cash register. The culprits made away with $16,651 TT, the total sales of the previous day.
