The event featured Dr. Sujoy Bhattacharjee, Chairman and Chief of the Max Institute of Robotic Joint Replacement at Max Superspeciality Hospital, Saket, and German orthopedic surgeon Prof. Dr. Michael Wagner. The discussion focused on the clinical application of ceramic implants and the role of active robotic technology in improving surgical precision compared to conventional knee replacement methods.
Dr. Bhattacharjee, a specialist in robotic and minimally invasive joint replacement, has previously been recognized for his work in autonomous robotic knee systems and muscle-sparing surgical techniques. Prof. Dr. Wagner, a former chairman of Klinikum Nurnberg, contributed expertise regarding implant design and the development of precision instrumentation for arthroplasty.
The presentation aimed to provide insights into the integration of active robotics with non-metallic materials, exploring potential benefits for patient recovery and the future trajectory of advanced knee replacement procedures.
