“I said, ‘wow, we are now in a different time,'” Trump said, describing the moment he observed the second plane strike the towers. “I said, the world has just changed.”

Reflecting on the aftermath, the President praised the speed and scale of the cleanup and reconstruction efforts at Ground Zero. He noted that he visited the site shortly after the attacks, where he observed construction workers clearing the debris. He credited New York City for the rapid completion of the new World Trade Center, suggesting that the city’s ability to rebuild quickly is often overlooked.

On that day in 2001, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial aircraft.
