**Samosir to Host The Caldera Culture Festival 2026**
MEDAN – The regency of Samosir on the island of Samosir, situated in Lake Toba, will host The Caldera Culture Festival (TCCF) 2026 in conjunction with the Samosir International Choir Competition (SICC) 2026. Organisers expect roughly 2,000 choir groups from across Indonesia to take part in the event.
The competition will award the “Piala Bergilir Gubernur Sumatera Utara” (Rotating Governor’s Trophy of North Sumatra) and a total prize pool of 150 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately USD 10,000). The festival is scheduled to run from 24 to 27 [month not specified] 2026.
The combined festival and choir competition aim to promote cultural exchange and showcase choral talent from the region, with performances set against the backdrop of Lake Toba.
