A 14-year-old boy, who allegedly robbed a woman of her iPhone 13 at cutlass-point in South Oropouche, is currently in police custody. The incident happened on Saturday night when the woman was walking along Government School Trace. The boy, described as a slim-built teenager of African descent, threatened the woman with a cutlass and ran off with her phone, valued at $2,800. Later, the boy, accompanied by his mother, surrendered to the Oropouche Police Station. He was properly cautioned, informed of his rights, and detained at the Oropouche Booking Centre. The Children’s Authority and Duty Counsel were notified, and a lawyer is now representing the minor. Investigations are ongoing.

Why are the faces of the minor child who stole the phone and his mother not blacked out???
