In a tragic turn of events, a 17-year-old boy from Golconda, a community near San Fernando, has been charged with the murder of Rajkumar Pope, a local father of two. The charge came after homicide detectives were instructed to proceed following the completion of their inquiries. The case file was then submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Based on the legal advice received, the teenager is slated to appear before the court on Thursday to respond to the charge. Despite this development, the case remains active, with homicide officers continuing their investigation.
