**Former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor Scheduled for Court Appearance**
**MONROVIA** – Former Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor is scheduled to appear before the Monrovia City Court on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The appearance is for a preliminary examination regarding criminal charges filed against her by the State. The proceedings follow a period during which Howard-Taylor was receiving medical treatment.
The Monrovia City Court had previously postponed the preliminary examination to accommodate the former Vice President’s health requirements. Legal counsel for both the State and the defense are expected to attend the session at the Temple of Justice.
