The 2026 South American Women’s Volleyball Championship is currently underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tournament, held at the Maracanazinho arena from September 8 to September 13, features six national teams competing for qualification spots in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and the 2027 World Volleyball Championship.
According to tournament regulations, the winner of the championship will secure a place in the Olympic Games, while the top three teams will qualify for the World Championship.
The Peruvian national team has recorded the following results in the tournament thus far:
On Tuesday, September 8, Peru lost to Argentina 1-3. On Wednesday, September 9, Peru was defeated by Brazil 0-3. On Thursday, September 10, Peru fell to Venezuela 1-3. On Saturday, September 12, Peru lost to Colombia 0-3. The team is scheduled to play its final match against Chile on Sunday, September 13, at 1:00 p.m.
The tournament is being broadcast on television via Latina (channels 2 and 702 HD) and Sport TV 2. Streaming options include the Latina website and mobile application, as well as the official YouTube channel of the South American Volleyball Confederation.
