HPK has announced that it has terminated the contract of Slovak national team forward Andrej Kukučan for the current season. The 26‑year‑old, who stands 190 cm tall, joined the club in the summer of 2024 and appeared in 17 games, scoring only one goal. Kukučan had previously signed a 1+1 contract in May with a Slovak club and a team in the Canadian Western Hockey League (WHL). His limited production in Finland has led the club to return the player to his home country. HPK currently sits in 14th place in the league standings.
