Bournemouth midfielder Alex Tóth is expected to miss several months after sustaining a serious muscle injury, which will rule him out of Hungary’s final two Europa League matches in November. Club manager Marco Rose said on the club’s website that the club is still assessing the situation but “we are very sorry for him and for ourselves, because I think we will have to miss him for a long time. It is a serious muscle injury. We are currently weighing how to handle the situation, but I think it will be months.” The 21‑year‑old former Ferencváros midfielder entered the Europa League match against AC Milan as a substitute but was forced off after only 15 minutes due to the injury. Tóth’s absence also raises questions about the availability of Hungary’s other key midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai, who is currently dealing with a hamstring injury. Szoboszlai is expected to be unavailable for the national team’s November 14 match against Georgia and the November 17 match against Northern Ireland.
