Swanny clears the air, showing he’s genuine beyond the music

Prince Swanny Clears the Air: “I’m Not a Bad Person”

At the Caribbean Music Awards, Trinidadian dancehall and trapso star Prince Swanny used the red carpet to address one of the biggest misconceptions about him.

When asked what rumor he would like to clear, Swanny answered with honesty:

> “I’m not a bad person. I might sing some violent songs, but I have good songs too, so I’m not a violent person, you know?”

The interviewer wrapped it up by affirming his point: “So to the world, he’s not a bad person.” Swanny agreed with a smile, adding: “Yeah man. No one is.”

Balancing Image and Music

Swanny’s words hit at the heart of an ongoing conversation around his music. While his catalog often includes raw, street-inspired lyrics, he reminded fans and critics that artistry doesn’t always equal reality. Many of his tracks also celebrate positivity, culture, and resilience — but the harder-edged songs often grab the most attention.

By clearing the air, he showed that behind the lyrics is an artist who wants to be understood for who he really is.

A Message to Fans

This moment was more than just a red carpet soundbite. It was Swanny’s way of separating perception from personality. His message to the world was simple but powerful: don’t judge the man by the music alone.

As his career continues to grow beyond the Caribbean, his reminder stands strong — Prince Swanny is not just an entertainer, but a storyteller, and above all, a human being.
