Three men identified as suspects in various criminal activities were killed on Monday during alleged exchanges of gunfire with agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM) of the Dominican National Police. The incidents occurred in separate locations across the country, specifically in Verón-Punta Cana, Salcedo, and Bajos de Yuna.
Authorities identified one of the deceased as 27-year-old Luis David Fortuna Perdomo, known as Caco de Leche, who was killed in Verón-Punta Cana. According to police reports, Fortuna Perdomo was the subject of an active arrest warrant at the time of the encounter.
The National Police stated that the individuals were being sought for their alleged involvement in various criminal acts. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding these confrontations are ongoing.
