Stolen Police Guns Sold for $10,000 Amid San Fernando Break-In Probe

Investigators are delving deeper into the deadly break-in at the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, where over 100 firearms and a significant quantity of ammunition were stolen. The attack led to the tragic death of acting Corporal Anuska Eversley, prompting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. A businessman from Central Trinidad, believed to have connections to organized crime, is suspected of facilitating the sales of these weapons. Authorities report that he is currently in hiding as they continue to gather intelligence on his activities. The investigation has also focused on a Kia sedan, which is thought to have been used to transport the stolen firearms.

Some of the weapons were discovered buried at the Forres Park dump, while others were seized during a road exercise near the Claxton Bay flyover, which involved three suspects traveling in a Kia K2700.

Law enforcement officials have noted that cooperation from various suspects has played a crucial role in the recovery efforts, as they remain committed to tracking down the remaining stolen firearms and identifying all individuals involved in this alarming case.
