Starbucks Moves Upstairs, Airport Atrium Reopens as Public Space

The Starbucks outlet, previously positioned in the heart of the airport, has been relocated to an upper level, paving the way for the atrium to be reintroduced as a larger public space for travelers. This move has sparked dialogue on the usage and purpose of the atrium, raising the question of whether the central area should remain open and accessible to the public or be dominated by commercial enterprises.

The relocation has also reignited discussions about bolstering local businesses within the airport. Suggestions have surfaced advocating for local food vendors and coffee brands to have a stronger presence in key areas throughout the facility, promoting local commerce.

As Starbucks now operates from its new upstairs location, the center of the terminal takes on a more open and spacious feel. Passengers transiting through the airport are likely to notice the changes and appreciate the enhanced openness of the space. The impact of these changes on the overall airport experience will continue to be a topic of conversation and evaluation.
